How do I wire a Chevy alternator in to my Dodge Ramcharger?

My friend and I took out a throttle body 318 in my 89 ramcharger, and replaced it with a carberated 318. He got a little carried away with cutting the wires!! So all I have is a toggle switch to turn the power on, and a push button to start it. I am wanting to use a one wire chevy alternator.|||I am not even sure if you can mount a chevy alt. to a dodge because the mounting is different. You can fabricate a bracket if you are good with welding and just rewire the cable.|||run the one wire to the positive cable of the battery,or the power junction block on the firewall,that will make it charge,good luck on it.
