How do you change air conditioner belt on a 2001 chevy suburban?

How do you change the air conditioner belt on a 2001 chevy suburban? Help please?|||Actually, there ARE 2 serpentine belts on your LS powered Suburban. A large one that drives everything except the A/C and a tiny small one the drive's the A/C only. The small one is down low to the passenger side. You'll have to remove the large belt first by pushing over the spring loaded tensioner with the proper tool. Remember it is SPRING LOADED. Then, if it's a 4x4, just slide under and do the same with the little A/C belt, spring loaded tensioner. Just remember the belt routing's and make sure they all get put back in the proper gooves. There's usually a belt routing diagram somewhere around the front underhood plastic cowling. If not, draw a diagram or take a picture with a cell before removing the belt's.|||it is not an air conditioning belt. It is a Serpentine Belt. This means one belt drives everything.

Have you a digital camera Like the one in your cell phone for example?

Take a picture of how the belt is routed through the front of the engine compartment. Use a 3/8 ratchet or pull handle. There is a square slot in the tensioner pulley (the one pulley with a large spring attached to it).. Insert wrench and rotate tensioner (it will only go one direction) to release belt. Remove belt from all pulleys and place new one in exactly as the old one came out. Apply tensioner pulley making sure belt is correctly centered in all the pulleys. Crank engine to ensure belt stays in place. Put old belt in bag and store near spare tire for an emergency replacement that may be required at a later date.|||There is only one belt on that engine that drives everything.|||If you have to ask, you're in over your head. Get it done professionally, it wont cost much.
