If it's stricktly for the track, you may need to get a tranny that's geared for the track. You will also need to make sure the rest of the drive train can handle the extra torq. You will also need to install a roll bar %26amp; other safety gear.

First, you have no baseline run before your enginge upgrades, so you have no starting point. Guessing that a stock c10 will get down the track in somewhere less than twenty seconds,

|||70s and 80s cars and trucks are not known for power, i bt that you will not be impressed with the change. a c10 is a heavy truck. sure it has power but the numbers that you have listed, not even close. i have a 1968 GTO with numbers that are not too far from that, but that is from a different era. your final speed is defined by your gear ratios, really, with out knowing that you are at a loss.|||You are ahead of the game.
What you should have done was to go to the raceway before you did anything and run it just for some time slips. Then install the edelbrock and see what you picked up.
Remember, that truck is about 1000# heavier than a car so anybody that compares it to a car is full of it.|||That new rocket fuel addative is amazing isn't it.
