Will a chevy 350 engine fit in my 65 mustang with a ford 289? What would I have to change to get a running car

no hating on putting a chevy in a ford or having a mustang please. im tired of it.

My friend has a rebuilt performance chevy 350 and hes selling it cheap and i need to get my stang running. What would need to be done? What parts are compatible/incompatible?|||no!!! i have tryied it it did not fit plus if it did it would run crapy .

a ford mustang is to nice to do that

KEEP IT A FORD MUSTANG

CHEVYS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?;)|||You can do it. Just cut off the ford motor mounting brackets. measure the motor. then weld chevy brackets to the ford frame. You will also have to change your drivetrain (chevy trans/driveshaft).

|||why would you want to do this?....can it be done?

Yes with a lot of the "F" word....

FABRICATION, get yourself a nice bowtie with a blown engine cheap and put it where it belongs...|||Why? Cause a 390-460 will fit and stay Ford wih a little bit of modification.. KEEP IT FORD unless your talkin' 1928-1954|||the 350 will fit but will have to fab up some motor mounts and change out the tranny with a Chevy trans Th350 or Th400 will have to change the drive shaft end that fits into the end of the transmission.with one from a Chevy.buy an msd ignition like an msd6a should work, might have too fab up some type of exhaust also..there are no parts from chevy that work on fords, unless you make them fit...
