How much does it cost to fix/ replace a chevy blazer back bumper?

I accidently backed my car into a pole which then cracked the right side of my back bumper. My car is a chevy blazer and I don't know whether I should get it fixed or replaced. Also how much would it cost to do this?|||$500|||This might sound crazy but you could try gluing it back together using some cement glue that they sell at walmart. my Forenza had a cracked bumper that was hanging loose, I stuck it with the solution, it's virtually invisible and I have backed into the curb several times since then yet it's still intact.|||That is why Auto Body repair shops have free estimates - don't pay for one if they charge - ask them if they charge for estimates - they will or should give you a written estimate for repairs - there are no promises with bumpers...There is a a lot of parts involved in making up your bumper - there is a cover, there is a reinforcement and there are absorbers, just to name a few - The cover is cosmetic, the reinforcement and the absorbers are safety issues - if they are damaged the shop will only know once the cover is removed and they can see the absorbers and reinforcements. They can tell you tell you up front what the cover's replacement cost is, and if it includes paint and materials, but until they take the cover off, they won't know about the other safety issues in your bumper.
