My tranmission gasket is leaking on my Chevy 350 turbo and I have a friend fixing it. I need to buy a gasket and tranmission fluid. What type of gasket is best to buy and how many quarts of fluid do I need to bring to replace? Do I need sealer? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!|||i like NAPA tranny pan gaskets best.
the holes are slightly undersized so you can start all the bolts to hold the gasket in place while you mount the pan.
don't use any adhesive or sealer.
3-4 qt of type A fluid should be enough.
start with 3 then check when engine is running and hot.|||Fel Pro Gasket, 4-5 qts of trans fluid for a pan service.
You might as well just buy a filter which comes with the gasket and replace that while your in there.
Don't need a sealer, but some people are more comfortable using one.
If your going to get one, use "the right stuff" (actual name of product)|||Can't go wrong with FelPro gaskets. Sealer is not recommended for trans pan gaskets, but some people do use it. TH350's should take around 5 quarts to refill. Suggestion: make sure your buddy doesn't tighten the pan bolts too much, or your gonna have the same leak as you have now.|||answer to your question should be in the data section of your driver manual
